TEACHING AND LEARNINGOVERVIEW

We encourage our learners to gain a creative mindset and motivate them to approach new challenges with the confidence and critical thinking skills they require to succeed. This is achieved by providing a high quality, comprehensive educational program that supports holistic growth and development throughout all age levels.

In their earliest years, our students are introduced to the Internationally recognised IEYC program and build their fundamental reading skills through the acclaimed Jolly Phonics Methodology. As an accredited Cambridge International School, we then deliver the world renowned Cambridge Pathway for our Primary and Lower Secondary Grades. This included completing the Cambridge Checkpoint External Examinations.

As a truly multilingual school, from Grade 1, our students select a dual curriculum, which combines a Cambridge Education with either the Cambodian National Curriculum or our respective French Program, Label FrancEducation.

Throughout NIRA ISC, we believe that a comprehensive education involves more than just academics. Therefore, we integrate a wide range of specialist subjects, including Chinese, Music, PE, Computing and Art and Design.
Our students are encouraged to view the world from a global perspective and are taught to embrace independence through diverse experiences, both within and beyond the classroom dynamic.

We strive to create a supportive environment and offer the stability that children and families require to feel confident and comfortable every day. In doing so, our learners can explore, enquire and thrive.

Early Years

Our Early Years Center (ages 1.5 years to 6 years old) lays the foundation for a child's education, a crucial period where numerous connections and discoveries unfold. Through a nurturing environment and tailored educational activities, we foster a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Primary

Primary School (ages 6 years to 11 years old) marks a significant phase in a child’s education, where core knowledge, understandings, and skills are embedded. This pivotal period shapes academic foundations and also encourages the development of critical thinking and a thirst for knowledge.

Lower Secondary

Lower Secondary (ages 11 years to 14 years old) is a stage where students not only deepen their core knowledge but also solidify essential skills. This phase prepares students for advanced studies while fostering self-discovery, critical thinking, and a passion for lifelong learning.
